Choose the Firewood That Fits How You Burn
Buying firewood is simpler when the order starts with your use: a fireplace, wood stove, outdoor fire pit, or a commercial wood-fired operation. The practical choice is not a vague promise that one wood is best. It is the available type, the volume you need, where it will be delivered, and whether you want cord wood or a bagged kiln-dried option. Bring the delivery address, preferred wood, and storage plan to the first order conversation. A-1 will confirm those details before the order is set.
Mixed Softwood
Half cord: $225
Full cord: $350
Mixed softwood is a practical choice for outdoor fire pits and casual burning. It is easy to light outdoors. Call or text A-1 to check availability and arrange delivery to your address.
Kiln-Dried Quarter-Cord Bag
From $210 plus delivery
Need a smaller, ready-to-use option? Our kiln-dried quarter-cord bags start at $210 plus delivery. Tell us your address and A-1 will confirm availability, delivery timing, and your total before you order.
How Firewood Delivery Works
- Call or text the delivery address. Start with the property location, preferred wood type, and amount.
- Confirm the order details. A-1 confirms current availability, the delivery timing, and the delivered total. Larger orders receive a custom volume quote.
- Prepare the driveway drop-off. Bulk cord wood receives free driveway delivery within 15 miles. Stacking is not included and may be available for an additional charge.
This process is intentionally specific. It avoids claiming a bag-delivery charge that has not been set, or a delivery time that must be confirmed for the actual route and order.
Firewood Delivery Near Me, From a Rosedale Yard
A-1 operates from Rosedale, and bulk cord wood includes free driveway delivery within a 15-mile radius. That makes this page the place to start for Baltimore County customers searching for firewood delivery, firewood for sale near me, or a local firewood supply. For an address beyond 15 miles, call with the delivery location for availability and a delivery quote. A-1 confirms the delivery charge before booking.
A-1's closed-loop operation gives the service a local material story: trees the company removes can become mulch and firewood. That does not change the need to confirm species, volume, and availability for your order. It does give buyers a clear view of where the business's wood and mulch operation begins.
Hardwood or Softwood: What Should You Order?
Hardwood and softwood serve different preferences, and current availability matters. Use the order conversation to explain whether you are stocking a stove, fireplace, fire pit, or commercial oven. For a deeper comparison before ordering, see A-1's hardwood versus softwood guide.
University of Maryland Extension's Fact Sheet #1074 on wood moisture and hardwood drying time explains why moisture and drying time matter when choosing firewood. A-1 can describe the products it has available, while the guide helps customers understand the wood-burning question behind the order.
